It’s difficult to provide ‘hard performance metrics’ - it all depends upon the size of each topic, the number of icons, length of any notes and number of descendants - but some guideline figures are as follows:

Map ‘canvas’ size:

1. •1000x screen size
   

Number of topics:

1. •No hard limit (tested to over 200)
   

Topic Size:

1. •No hard limit (tested to over 2000 characters.)
   

Note Size:

1. •No hard limit (tested to over 2000 characters.)
   

Number of maps:

1. •No hard limit (only tested to 30.)
   

PDF page size:

1. •8 million square pixels (approx 50 ‘physical screens’ of map) This limit is dues to memory constraints.
   

PNG page size:

1. •2 million square pixels (approx 10 ‘physical screens’ of map) This limit is dues to memory constraints.
   

NB: As a rule of thumb - when importing Freemind maps - if the .mm file is much over 100k in size, then you may experience problems.

IMPORTANT: YMMV (‘Your mileage may vary’) and at the end of the day, the limiting factor is the available memory. If your requirements approach or exceed the above then please contact us and we may be able to test your map prior to purchase.
