It is possible to email (or upload to box.net) your maps as PDF files. An example can be downloaded from here. The PDF export format must be explicitly enabled - see here for instructions.

Due to memory constraints, the maximum size of the PDF file is limited to 8 million square pixel (approx 50 screens of data.) The PDF export setting must first be enabled in the iThoughts section of the Settings App.

UPDATE: Unfortunately the PDF files generated do not display correctly in the GMail and box.net online web based PDF viewers. This is something that we are investigating.
